Accounts to connect: Gmail, Notion, GitHub, Slack, or any of 118+ OAuth providers.

Step 1: Download and install

Download the desktop app for your platform from the OpenHUMAN releases page.

Install and launch the application. The first-time setup guides you through configuration.

OpenHUMAN runs entirely locally by default — your data stays on your machine.

Step 2: Connect your accounts

OpenHUMAN supports 118+ OAuth integrations via the Composio connector.

Connect Gmail, Notion, GitHub, Slack, Calendar, Drive, Linear, Jira, and more.

Each connection gives the agent read access by default. Write access requires explicit approval.

Step 3: Configure the NeoCortex memory vault

The NeoCortex memory system can process up to 10 million tokens and store 1 billion tokens of persistent memory.

Memory is stored locally in SQLite. The vault is compatible with Obsidian for direct browsing and editing.

Configure auto-fetch to pull fresh context from connected services every 20 minutes.

Step 4: Start using OpenHUMAN

Ask questions, give tasks, or let the agent work in the background.

Voice features, meeting agent, and screen intelligence are available for desktop workflows.

The agent learns from your preferences over time and adapts its behavior.
